We’re really pleased to have been awarded £10,000 in funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to support 100 young people aged 8 to 17 with increasingly poor mental health and wellbeing as a result of the coronavirus crisis, through a series of residential weekend activities that will include mindfulness walks, reflection, coping mechanisms, teambuilding, relaxation activities, dealing with change, connecting with nature and adventurous activities.

By taking part, participants will show a measured and improved difference in their mental health and wellbeing, rebuild their confidence, self-esteem and address mental health and wellbeing issues that are affecting them leaving the project with a positive mindset, having had new experiences and learning new coping mechanisms they require to move forward post Covid-19.

Adam Brinkworth (Company Director and Charity Trustee) said “It’s great to have been funded to help support young people in Birmingham with their mental health coming out of the Covid19 lockdowns and after an especially difficult 16 months. We’re looking forward to working with our project partners to run these activities very soon.

Thanks to National Lottery players for making our project possible. We’re making a huge difference to the lives of 100 young people thanks to National Lottery funding.
